I can still remember the first time I saw her. Our first kiss was on August 8, 1981. We were married in May of '84 and our daughter was born in March of '85. I think, if I tried, I could count the days we were apart since then; and even on those few days we always talked. Through a big part of my career, I worked from home so Jackie and I spent most of our time with each other. Jackie was my best friend and partner. We did everything together, vacations, weekend camping and hiking, music festivals and concerts, family gatherings (she has 9 brothers and sisters), and more; and always supported each other. We learned, discovered, and grew up together. We shared a love of music that leaves a soundtrack that is so difficult to listen to now. On Valentine's, we always had flowers and candy for each other, gift bags with cute and/or silly gifts. More often than not, Jackie would make a wonderful dinner for the two of us rather than going out. Jackie died on October 1, 2012 and I love her and miss her today as much as I do everyday.
